MEDIAPOLIS - Everett Burr Brockway, 67, Mediapolis, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at his home.
He was born September 18, 1904, In Kingston, the son of Harry and Bertha Timmerman Brockway. He married Dorothy Caroline Kneedy in Burlington June 4, 1925. A retired Mediapolis city employe, he was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving: The wife; four sons, Roy, at home, Lloyd, Kingston; Melvin, Quincy, Ill., and Keith, Oakville; four daughters, Mrs. Darlene Brown, Kingston, Mrs. Evelyn Fuhrer, Burlington, Mrs. Lila Bakerink, Mediapolis, and Mrs. Karen Elkin, Wapello; two brothers, Archie, Mediapolis, and William, Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Howe, Kingston, and Mrs. Eva Fichthorn, Burlington; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral: Friday, 2 p.m., Fry Chapel, Rev. Raymond Moore; Memorial Park cemetery, Burlington. A memorial fund has been established.
