Ginger Nell Roberts, age 79, of Blountstown, FL passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 in Tallahassee, FL. Ginger was born on August 3, 1941 in Wewahitchka, FL to S.L. Hughes and Edna (Barber) Hughes and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life.
She worked as a cook for the Senior Citizen and also Calhoun liberty Hospital for several years. Ginger enjoyed cooking, traveling, her dog, Daisy but most of all she truly loved her family. She attended Open Arms Assembly of God Church.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, S.L. Hughes and Edna (Barber) Hughes; husband, Alvin Roberts; brother, Bubba Hughes. Survivors include, two sons, Tony Knowles and Terri of Wewahitchka, FL; Calvin Roberts and Trish of Blountstown, FL, five daughters,Caroline Dean and Calvin of Wewahitchka, FL; Wendy Pitts of Blountstown, FL;Marsha Phillips and Mitchell of Blountstown, FL; Greta Jenks and Tim of Scotts Ferry, FL; Edna Roberts and Bill of Blountstown, FL; one sister, Jeter Lester and Bob of Wewahitchka, FL; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Coley officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts family cemetery in Blountstown, FL.
