Service for Clifford Carson Swan, 76, a lifetime area resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home. Private burial service will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Swan died Wednesday at his home.

Born in Rosalia, he graduated from Rosalia High School and lived most of his life in Spokane.

Mr. Swan was a carman for Western Fruit Express 26 years and during World War II was a civil defense auxiliary policeman.

He was a member of Spokane Eagles Aerie 2.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ella (Hehman) Swan; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald L. (Barbara) Devine and Lois M. Davis, both of Spokane; one sister, Vera Raudebaugh of Eugene, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice of Spokane, Box 1724, Spokane, WA 99210.
