Betty Rose Overbey Poe, age 87, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
She leaves behind two daughters, Patty Smith and Rhonda Riley & husband Dewade, all of London, KY; five grandchildren, Stacey Sparks-Lazurek, Sarah Neas, Casey Mahjub, Whitney Sawyers, Taylor Morgan Sawyers; ten great grandchildren, Rebekah Lazurek, J.P. Lazurek, Hannah Neas, Jalynn Roberts, Madeline Mahjub, Camryn Mahjub, Kade Mahjub, Kylie Sawyers, Peyton Gray, Ava Gray; one great, great grandchild, Alice Mae Lazurek, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Poe; her parents, Tilford and Sarah Bowling Overbey; her son, Michael Smith; six siblings, Billy Overbey, Junior Overbey, Paul Overbey, Bud Overbey, Ruby Doane, Irene Matlock; and her grandson, Chris Sparks.
Betty was a homemaker who loved to cook for her family. She was blessed with grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life for Betty Rose Overbey Poe will be scheduled at a later date. Her final resting place will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Greer, South Carolina.
