Prior to his marriage to Elizabeth, Giles was married to Lucy Frances Eskridge (1851-1884) in 1871. Two children were born of this union.
Mary Jane Adams (1881-1955) and Lillian "Lillie" Adams (1876-?).
In 1897, Giles married Nancy Myria Varner (1860-1943) and one child was born, Inez A. Adams (1897-1941).
Giles died in Mannford, Oklahoma on September 3, 1906.
