Joseph was presently living at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, since January.
Joseph was born October 25, 1902, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Frank and Theresa Kobler Wegman. He attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School.
On March 3, 1924, Joseph was united in marriage to Esther Stubbe in Waukegan, III. Esther died January 9, 1975.
For 35 years, Joseph owned and operated Wegman's Liquor Store at 819 Indiana Ave. He then operated the Edge Of Town Restaurant for eight and one-half years.
Following his retirement, Joseph operated the Coffee Shop, at Witt's End Motel, for five years.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Ruth) Wegman, of Milwaukee; one daughter. Mrs. Shirley Schraut, of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one brother, Peter (Hazel) Wegman, of Manitowoc.
Joseph was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 1991, at Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Sochurek will officiate. Cremation will follow, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established, in Joseph's name, for St. Vincent DePaul Society.
