Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Abbie Borne, 82, passed away Friday August 6, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee. She was born in Tracy City, Tennessee on April 14, 1939 to George Washinton Anderson and Ella Mae Rust Anderson who preceded her in death along with her brothers, William, George Allen, Claude, Charles and Hershel Anderson; sisters, Sally Rachel Anderson, Nancy Alley, Patricia Ann Anderson, Minnie King.

She was a member of the Mount Etta Holiness Freewill Baptist Church and was a lunch lady at the Mount Vernon and Swiss Memorial schools.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Borne; sons, James (Mary) Borne and Michael (Sonya) Borne; daughters, Kathy Cox, Peggy (Carl) Slatton, Susie (Stacey) Smith and Mary Ellen (Billy) Campbell; sisters, Carolyn Cox and Wanda Fay Smith; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Faron Crisp, Boyd Brown and Greg Burnett officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.
