JANIE M LAMB CLINTON — Ms Janie Merritt Lamb 91 of 2317 River Road died Friday July 17 1998 at NC Memorial Hospital Chapel Hill Mineral service will be held 3 pm Monday July 20 at Red Hill Universalist Church with Rev Vernon Chandler officiating The family will receive friends after the service at the church and at other times at the home at Taylors Bridge (2317 River Road) Burial will be at 5 pm at the Clinton Cemetery She was a native of Sampson County the daughter of the late Walter and Sallie Peterson Merritt the widow of Charles Robert Lamb Sr and a member of the NC Retired Teachers Association Ms Lamb was a public school teacher for many years Surviving are three children Laurie Lamb of Raleigh Charles Robert Lamb Jr of Richmond VA and Walter Merritt Lamb of Greensboro and two sisters Sallie M Lassister of Smithfield and Louise M Thomas of Winston-Salem Arrangements by Crump ler Honeycutt Mineral Home.
