Funeral services for Reese Bennett Hunt, formerly of Mexia, will be held at the Clifford Jackson Funeral Chapel in Corpus Christi on Thursday. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park.
Mr. Hunt, 54, died in Corpus Christi following a long illness. He was born in Mexia in 1921 and had lived in Corpus Christi since 1945. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church there, and served as president of the Nueces Trust Co., former vice-president of TTA, treasurer of the Claimsman Assoc., was a member of the Rotary Club, and was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Hunt; two sons, Reese Hunt, Jr. and Douglas Hunt of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Barbara Hunt; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Hunt of Dallas and Corpus Christi; a brother, Eugene Hunt, Jr. of Houston; and two sisters, Mrs. J. E. O'Brien (Gay) of Corpus Christi and Mrs. E. Eugene Mitchell of Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
