Elizabeth A Mitchell was the daughter of Jesse Allen Terrell and Nancy L. E. Dunkley. She was married on December 10, 1857 to John Henry Mitchell and they had nine children: Jeremiah, Cora, Savannah, James, Lilla, and four unknown children. After her husband John died she lived out her life on her farm with her youngest daughter Lilla and her family.
