Matthew James Dionisi, born September 3,1921 Latrobe PA., passed June 19, 2021 Ft. Worth, TX. Born to the late Amedeo Dionisi and Ida May Colecchi Dionisi.

Matt was preceded in death by his wife, mother of his children, Marie Scoggins Dionisi February 22, 1998.

Matt joined the United States Army Air Corps in 1943 and went to Basic in San Antonio..Later he was sent to Corsicana Air Field Flight School. When he was in flight school, there was this gentleman from France who could not pronounce Dionisi, so he call him Donnie. He later met Marie, our mom on a blind date. After Donnie got his wings everyone went out to celebrate. Marie was sitting on Donnie's lap. Donnie was drunk and he kept asking Marie, "mad at me, mad at me, marry me". Marie thought he was just drunk. These were Marie's words to their daughter. Donnie was transferred to Lincoln Nebraska and they wrote letters back and forth. He asked her again to marry him in a letter. She went up to Lincoln Nerbraska and married our Donnie on May 6, 1944.

Donnie and Marie lived a military life with three children, 2 sons and 1 daughter. Matt carried his nick name "Donnie" with his Southern family for over 55 years.

Donnie retired from the United States Air Force in 1967. After his Military Career, he worked for General Dynamics, Harris Methodist Hospital, and HCA Medical Plaza Hospital, all in Ft. Worth.

Matt (Donnie) leaves behind two sons and a daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A mourning lady friend he met on a bus going to Canada 14 years ago, and very close friend Vic. And many friends he had made after he retired from his last job.
