Russ was born to Stanley and Ruth Allen in 1947. After high school, Russ would join the United States Navy and serve in Vietnam, along with older brother Bob. Russ spent many years as a mailman for the local post office. Once he retired, he was able to fully enjoy his two favorite passions, hunting and fishing. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, oldest brother Bob and youngest sister Gayle. He is survived by his wife, Georgia, son Rusty, daughter Christy, three grandsons, three siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
