Mrs. Regina Marie Martinek, 83, Rossville, died Monday, July 3, 1989, at her home.
Mrs. Martinek worked at the Genn Hospital in Wamego from 1948 to 1952.
She was born Aug. 27, 1905, at St. Marys, the daughter of Michael and Anna Schoemann Ryan. She was graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing at Topeka in 1928.
Mrs. Martinek was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.
She was married to Henry R. Martinek June 26, 1929, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at St. Marys. He survives. A son, Henry R. Martinek Jr., died in 1941.
Other survivors include three daughters, Agnes White, San Rafael, Calif., Mary Schumaker, St. Marys, and Jo Copeland, Rossville; a son, Vincent Martinek, Rossville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
