Amanda Elizabeth ARNOLD was born 15 Aug 1842 in Herrin, Williamson County, IL, and was the daughter of Ebenezer Benson ARNDOLD and Elizabeth T. COX. Amanda married Joseph Marion TROUT (1836-1899) on 27 Aug 1857 in Williamson County, IL.
Her husband, Joseph, died 7 Apr 1899 at age 62 years, 9 months, and 4 days. Amanda, died some 32 years later on 25 Oct 1931 at age 89 years, 2 months, and 10 days. The names of four of their children who had proceeded them in death, John Wesley; Alvis; Patsy; and Elijah also appear on the back of the stone, perhaps replacing earlier individual stones close by.
