Patricia began her career as a registered nurse working at VA hospitals in California and Alaska during WWII. After the war she served as hospital administrator in Thermopolis, Wyo., where she met and married Owen Hanson on July 3, 1947.
The family moved to Billings in 1955, where she was a private duty nurse at both hospitals and several private homes in Billings. She retired from St. Vincent's in 1980.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen; parents; brother Leonard; sister Selena Keeler; and son-in-law Joe Duschner. She is survived by her children, Lila Duschner, Jo Ann Berry, Owen (Danguole), Joyce, Judith, Karen (Wes) Bowman and Renee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandi, Shane, Mason, Jason, Angelia, Amanda, Sara, Chas and Ashley; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Hammond, Stella Luther, Margaret Reile, Mary (Tim) Hurley and Lila (Roger) Fossen; brothers, Stafford (Mary) and Jim (Juanita); brother and sisters-in-law, Phil Hanson, Betty Hjelman and Joann Torfenson; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
