Eleanor Hildegarde Cardamone (nee Henne), age 80, was called to her heavenly home on the evening of July 12, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Davis, with whom she shared an extraordinarily blessed life. Eleanor is the loving mother to Arlene (Karl) Hallberg, David (Vanda) Cardamone, Lisa (Aurel) Cardamone, and Patti (Jeff) Hardy. Dear Nana to Valerie (John), Alexis, David, Michael, and Gabriella. Many loving relatives and friends will cherish her memory and were enriched by her profound hospitality and thoughtfulness. Eleanor's music and original style of playing the piano brought joy to her friends, neighbors, and to the church where she loved to play for God. Her tireless generosity and creativity illuminated countless events within her community. Her selfless standards and faith-based principles touched the lives of many, especially those in need. Eleanor felt particularly grateful for the opportunities to use her gifts and talents at St. Thomas Lutheran Church and School, where she served as an active member for decades until her passing. Eleanor's presence truly delighted all those who had the blessing to be around her. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service celebrating the life of Eleanor Cardamone will be held at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Eastpointe, MI on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated in memory of Eleanor to St. Thomas Lutheran Church's Food Pantry.
