The Grand Rapids Press, Oct. 17, 1936. "Mrs. Julia Lattin received word Friday of the death of her son, George Lattin, at Walter Hines Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Lattin, who served overseas in the World war, had been an invalid several years. He was born at Scottville, Feb. 26, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Lattin. With his parents, he went to Pentwater when 14. In 1915 he married Miss Grace Eaton of Pentwater [actually, they married in 1917]. The couple had one son, Frederic, who now resides with his mother in Detroit. Surviving also is Mr. Lattin,'s mother, now critically ill at Pentwater.
