Rites for Mrs. C. A. Dale.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon in he Gates chapel in Kansas City for Mrs. Chancellor A. Dale, formerly of Emporia, who died Thursday at the home of a daughter in Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Dale, who was 81 years old, was the daughter of the late John Wilhite, early day settler in the Fowler neighborhood. She was born in Emporia in 1862, and was married here. She and her husband celebrated their sixty-second anniversary last December 29. She had been a resident of Kansas City, Kan, for 39 years.
Mrs. Frank Gray, 602 South Exchange, is a sister of Mrs. Dale. Surviving also, beside her husband, are three daughters and two sons. Mrs. Dale was a member of the First Christian church in Emporia.
