Clara Lee Reep Boone "Sue", 90, of Bessemer City, passed away at Wellington House, Gastonia on July 29, 2021.

She was born October 30, 1930, in Lincoln County to the late Cletus and Lona Lackey Reep.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Boyd Boone, daughter, Doris Boone Stroupe; son-in-law, James Herman Putnam; grandson Matthew Boyd Putnam; great-grandson Jackson Boyd Putnam; sisters, Ruby Blackwell, Margaret Bumgardner, and Frankie Warlick; brother, Albert Reep.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Peggy Boone Putnam, and Sandra Boone Wilson (Gerald); grandchildren, Tracie Anderson (Scott), Joe Putnam (Kelly), Kellie Wilson Borders (John), and Jeremy Russell Wilson; 7 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at New Life Baptist Church on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Sue's funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Gomez officiating. Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
