Kathy Coonfer of Chestermere, passed away at home on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the age of 55 years. Kathy was born November 13, 1964 in Consort, AB, the 6th child to Paul and Anne Hirsekorn. She took all her schooling in Altario, AB. After completion moved to Calgary to begin work. She met Scott and married October 10, 1987. Family was blessed with three children, Steven, Shelby and Matthew. Enjoyed sports, biking, loved crafts and trying new things. Loved family gatherings and travelling with family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her children Shelby of Edmonton, AB and Matthew of Fernie, BC. She will also be remembered by Scott Coonfer, her brothers and sisters Joyce Hager, Lynda Cook, Rose Wallace, Jim Hirsekorn, Don Hirsekorn and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her son Steven, her father Paul Hirsekorn, mother Annie Hirsekorn and father-in-law Dale Coonfer.
A Gathering will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Arbor Lounge, 1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with tributes to start at 3:00 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the gathering.
