Published in the Piscataquis (ME) Observer 25 Jan 1877 p2: "The wife of Mr. N. A. Chandler of Foxcroft, died very suddenly at the residence of her sister Mrs. Emma McKnab at Charlestown, Mass., on Saturday the 13th inst. She had been ill a short time previously of consumption, but pneumonia set in and she lived only a few hours after. Her brother, Mr. Lucius M. Bullard of Foxcroft, died only the Sunday prior to Mrs. Chandler, after a tedious illness of nearly five years of consumption."

Bullard, and departed this life on the same day of the week and hour of the day; there being just one week's difference between the two deaths; making the sixth one of twelve brothers and sisters that have passed away. Her remains were interred in the family burying ground at Foxcroft."
