IRRIGON — Rose Marie Seeger died on April 6, at her home in Irrigonn at the age of 69.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1937 in Preston, Idaho to James and Emma Scott Palmer. Rose Marie was raised in Preston and graduated from Preston High School in 1955. She married Robert J. Paulson in 1956 and they had two sons, Rodney Joel and Mitchell "Scott" Paulson, and a daughter, Cristina Lynn Paulson. They later divorced. Rose Marie married Martius "Deane" Seeger Jr. in 1974.
They have lived in the Boardman and Irrigon area since.
She was raised in the faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rose Marie enjoyed accompanying her husband, Deane, to government functions for the Morrow County Planning Department and for the Port of Morrow. She loved her cats, crocheting, crossword puzzles, sewing, billiards, dancing, and homemaking.
She is survived by her husband, Deane Seeger Jr., Irrigon; sons, Rodney Paulson, Medford, and Scott Paulson, Huntsville, Ala.; daughter, Cris Paulson-O'Berry, Redmond; mother, Emma Palmer, Fernley, Nev.; brother, Brett Palmer, Fernley, Nev.; sister, Martha Raye Farnsworth, Manti, Utah; and two grandchildren, Russell and Kelli.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Craig and Berkely Palmer; and sister, Raynette Broussard.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, at 10 a.m., at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon.
