Lavina L. Riker was born in Robinson, IL May 24, 1930, a daughter of Virgil and Florence (Hall) Gatton and died July 27, 2021, at 3:00 am in Fort Wayne, IN. She is survived by her son, Greg (Barbara) Riker of Ft. Wayne and her son-in-law: Kader Bourezg, of Bartlett, IL three grandsons: Andrew (Erin) Riker, Midland, MI; Adam (Lauren) Riker, Doylestown, PA; Austin Bourezg, Chicago, IL and a great-granddaughter: Taylor Riker, Doylestown, PA. Also surviving are two sisters, Lottie Shook, Greenup, IL and Karen Mitchell, Oswego, IL, and a brother Chuck Gatton of Oswego, IL in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lavina was a dedicated homemaker and also was a business partner & co-owner of Riker Mausoleum & Vault Company as well as Riker Construction Company for many years. Lavina had a flair for decorating and a way with colors that enabled her to plan & design several newer homes that she and her husband built in Robinson, IL.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Cecil Riker March 23, 2021, and her daughter Cecilia Riker Bourezg on February 28, 2021. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers Frank, Robert and Arthur Gatton.
