HEBER SPRINGS — Madeline Ritchie Corter, 82, of Heber Springs died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, in Heber Springs.

Born March 25, 1925, at Russellville, she was the daughter of Jonas L. and Paralee Williams Brewer. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene Ritchie of Heber Springs and Scotty Ritchie and Billy Ritchie, both of Mountain View; four daughters, Christine Roselli of North Little Rock, Phyllis Scoggin of Bradford, Joyce Craig of Brookland and Debra Lewallen of Batesville; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Charles Jones, John Ritchie and Clarence Corter; a son, Gordon Leon Ritchie; three brothers, Frank Brewer, George Brewer and Gordon Brewer; three sisters, Lottie Ackerman, Nancy McKee and Ina Williams; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Hazelwood.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lower Clark Missionary Baptist Church in Onia with Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Farris Cemetery in Onia under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be John Ritchie, Larry Witcher, J.V. Curtis Jr., Willie Curtis, Bill Ritchie and Haskell Ritchie.

Honorary pallbearers are Timothy Ritchie and Jason Ritchie.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
