Clelia Eakins Myers The funeral will be Thursday for Clelia Eakins Myers, 87, 2215 Enon Church Road, formerly of Spencer, who died Tuesday (Sept. 21, 1999) at her home after 2 1/2 years of declining health and six weeks of serious illness. Born Oct. 10, 1911, in Spencer, Mrs. Myers was a daughter of the late Bert A. and Sallie Dulin Eakins. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Spencer High School. A homemaker, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her husband, Robert L. Myers, died Oct. 25, 1966, and a daughter, Rosalie Myers Young, died Dec. 1, 1995. Survivors include son Robert L. Myers Jr., Spencer; daughters Mrs. Ray (Carolyn)Casey, Salisbury, and Mrs. Sam (Dorothy)Paul, Conway, S.C.; brothers Toby Eakins, Spencer, Joe Eakins, Kannapolis, and Ronnie Eakins, Seattle, Wash.; sister Helen Alexander, Salisbury; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services: Funeral Mass of Resurrection, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. Thomas P. Clements.Burial,Rowan Memorial Park.
