MILLICENT, Jan. 9.
Jean Ivon Smetana, 35, railway employe, died today from injuries received yesterday when crushed by a freight truck in station yards. She came to Millicent on relieving duties on January 2 from Mount Gambier.

The Millicent coroner (Mr. J. J. A. Altschwager) has deemed unnecessary an inquest into the death of
Jean Ivon Smetana, 35, railway porter, who died on Wednesday. Smetana, a Hungarian, was crushed by a freight truck while he was working in the Millicent station yard on Tuesday.
