Mrs. McNew was born Jan. 2, 1900, in Pendleton, Ky., the daughter of Davis W. and Minnie F. McKinley Hutchison. She was married to Melvin T. McNew Aug. 23, 1928, in Kentucky, and he preceded her in death June 11, 1973.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg and the Loyal Daughters Class of that church. She belonged to the Lois Chapter No. 147 OES.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Robert (Bonnie J.) Arnold and Mrs. W. Thomas (Glenda J.) Porter, both of Greensburg; and five grandchildren: Mrs. Roger (Lynda) Stipe, Greensburg, James Arnold, Milroy, and Michael, Cindy and Diana Porter, all of Greensburg.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Lawrence Hutchison.
The services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Thiel and the Rev. Robert Browning officiating, and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests that memorials may be given to the Heart Fund.
