Bruce Aldrich, of East Lansing, age 81, passed away at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, MI on April 27, 2013. He was a long time member of The Peoples Church of East Lansing.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Bruce earned his degree in Industrial Management. While at MSU, Bruce enrolled in the ROTC, becoming a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the MSU Swim Team and earned the honor of All American swimmer. After graduating from MSU in 1954, Bruce became a pilot in the USAF, where he attained the rank of Captain. He was honorably discharged in 1958.

Through the years, Bruce held management positions in a number of Michigan companies including Roberts Corp., Kish Plastics and Birmingham Plastics. At Demmer Tool and Die he was manager of the Special Machine and Automation Division. Bruce went on to have his own business for a number of years, and retired in 1994.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Redburn); daughters; sons; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents Harry and Hazel Aldrich of East Lansing, MI and Bradenton, Fl.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to do so may make donations in Bruce's memory to The Peoples Church of East Lansing, 200 W.
