Death of L.R.A. Condit

L.R.A. Condit, highly respected pioneer resident of the Barnum vicinity, passed away at the Freeman hospital Wednesday afternoon, following a very brief illness, although he had been in poor heal and gradually failing for the past several months. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clcok at the Congregationcl church and will be conducted by Rev. F.W. Ollis, pastor. The body will lie in state at the Hinterberg Funeral Home until the hour of the service, where friends may call and view the remains, as the casket will not be opened at the church. Deceased was born in Iowa, and migrated to this state many years ago, since that time he has been one of the respected, active citizens of the community. He was quite active in all public affairs as long as his health would permit, and at one time was a condidate for the nomination for governor on the republican ticket. He was a man of high honor, and was dearly beloved by neighbors and friends. He was married November 29, 1900 to Miss Edna J. Ferris, who passed away six years ago. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive, two daughters and two sons, Zoe Condit and Mrs. R.D. Sackett, the latter living in Cheyenne; Clark and Kenneth, living at home on the ranch near Barnum. Deceased also leaves one sister, Mrs. Al Williams, living on Piney, and three brothers, together with five grandchildren. He was a member of the local masonic lodge, the members of which will turn out in a body to take part in the services. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, beside the body of his wife. The Bulletin mourns with the family in the death of this grand old man, and we feel a personal loss in his passing.
