Mrs. Adams loved her church, Croft Baptist, where she was the oldest and longest serving member. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, playing racquetball at the YMCA (she played until she was 85 years old), gardening and cooking for others. She was especially known for her made from scratch banana pudding and her hotdogs.!
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Parker (Tommy) and her son, Ric Adams of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Zac Parker (Kati) of Spartanburg, and Brian Parker (Laura) and their daughter, Claire of Roswell, GA; and her brother, Jimmy Pruitt of Union.
She was the middle child of 13. She had three brother and three sisters older than her and three brothers and three sisters younger than her. One younger brother survives her.
A private burial, with the immediate family, took place on Friday, August 6. Her ashes were buried next to her husband.
The family received friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Croft Baptist Church, 4190 E. Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302. A memorial service followed at 2:15 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Bradley. Eulogies were provided by her grandson Brian and family friend, Ken Page. Teresa Holliday provided the music and Brian Swofford sang.
