Julie Kaye Ellis
July 02, 1958 - July 22, 2021

Julie Kaye Ellis, 63, passed away July 22 at her home in Borger.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 26, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Burgin Funeral Home, 200 S. McGee. Her Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, 401, Gardner Street. Arrangements are under the direction of Burgin Funeral Home.

Julie was born on July 2, 1958 to James and Doretha Wiley. She graduated from Borger High School in 1976, where she was a twirler and a cheerleader. She continued on to be a cheerleader in life, always encouraging and supporting her family and friends.

She had worked as a secretary for Comac Well Service for the past 18 years, and was impeccable in doing a great job.

Julie was also know as "Queen of the Concession Stand" for Tri-City Youth Sports. She had been in charge of running the concession stands for more than 12 years- long after her own children had outgrown the league. She felt that by continuing to be involved with TCY, she was doing her part to to ensure that all children would have the opportunity to play in a local sports league. She had a huge heart for kids, and felt that her time was well spent in making a positive contribution into their lives through volunteering.

She loved spending time with, and spoiling, her own grandchildren. Being the most fun "Shushee" was on the top of her priority list, as she often disregarded the "rules" for treats, etc...set forth by her grandkids' parents. If Shushee was around, there was fun to be had!

She is known for being the "life of the party" and "a ball of fun" by those who knew her best. "She bedazzled the world around her!" according to her daughters-in-law. Julie loved flowers, color, bling, and sparkle!

Julie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gayla; and her niece, Tara.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home; her son, Kyle Cato and his wife, Cayla, and their son Jeremiah; her son, Clay Ellis and his wife Briana, and their daughters, Taylyn and Mia; her sisters, Vicky Martin and Jamie Carroll; her nephews, Casey Griffin, Michael Carroll, and Jonathan Carroll; and her nieces, Marcy Holden and Michelle Martin. She also had three dogs, Belle, Maddy, and Zoey, who were very special to her.

Julie was a "ray of sunshine" to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
