James Clifford Adams, age 80, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, September 15, 1940, to Arthur James and Edna Lucille (Dawson) Adams at Grubbs, AR. James passed away on Wednesday , July 21, 2021 at Atoka, OK.
He attended Grubbs Grade School and achieved his GED through the Marines Corps. James was a self employed metal worker. He served his nation in the United States Marine Corps. He married Patricia Ann (Johnson) on December 15, 1999. They celebrated 18 years of marriage before her passing in 2017. James enjoyed fishing and visiting with his family.
James is survived by his sons, Jimmy Adams and wife, Helen of Bentley, OK , Tim Adams and Kim Pedigo of Ben Wheeler, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Adams, James Adams, Elizabeth Adams; great grandchildren, Kodi, Kayla, Michael, Vladimir , Ivan, Riley, Madison, Emiley; great great grandchild, Hazely; sister, Virginia Verni of Reno, NV; brother, Donald Adams and wife Brenda of Talihina, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
