She married Johnnie Wade and two sons were born to this union, Marcus and Orlando.
She passed on July 15, 2021
Charlene was educated in the Maury County School System and graduated from Carver-Smith High in 1964. She enjoyed cooking and was employed by the Maury County School System where she worked in the cafeteria at Spring Hill High School until she retired. Charlene was a woman of faith and professed hope in Christ at an early age under Elder T.P. Glenn at St. Mark U.P.B. Church and currently attends Flint Valley U.P.B. Church. She would tell everybody her heart was fixed and her mind was made up. She loved her family, cooking and serving the Lord. She also enjoyed traveling around to different church services and attended church in several states. She was a fashionista and had a hat to go with every suit.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee and Louise Davis; husband, Johnnie Wade; brother, Walter, Jr.; and sisters, Betty Jean and Mary.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two loving and caring sons: Marcus (Jamie) Wade and Orlando Wade. Eleven grandchildren: Shekena (Steve) Smith, LaToya (Clarence) Hardison, Johnathun, JaMiyah, Ja-Tavia, JaKira, Justyce, Jaylah, Traneka, DMontre and D'Naijah Wade. Eleven great grandchildren: Kaden, Caleel, CaMari, Cori, Zoe, Zaevion, Lamiah, Noah, Duchess, Kaydence and baby Don (unborn). Six Siblings: Bessie Ann Caldwell, Eddie Lee Davis, Bobbie Oden, Margaret Odell Davis, Garrone "Bud" (Jackie) Davis and Lisa (Carlton) McQuirter. Also, left to cherish her memory is a very special friend Henry Booker, devoted nephew Lazerius "Herb" Davis and niece Athena "Tee" Caldwell, as well as, dear friends Lois Cooper, Minnie Ruth Henry and a host of nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday 6 to 7 at Baxter Bros Funeral Home. Viewing Sat 11 to 12 at First Baptist Pulaski Hwy with funeral to follow at 12 noon. Burial Pinecrest Cemetery.
