Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Knifley Christian Church for Mrs. Nellie Goode Ferguson, who died at the Rosary Hospital from a heart ailment Wednesday, July 8, at 6:25 p.m. Services were in charge of Rev. James Prince with burial in Dunbar Hill Cemetery in Adair County. Mrs. Ferguson, 71 years of age, was born in Adair County, daughter of the late L. M. and Ida Bottoms Goode. She made her home on Route 1, at Knifley and was a member of the Knifley Christian Church. She was married to Thomas Jonce Ferguson in 1909. He preceded her in death in June of 1959. She is survived by three children, Oris Ferguson, Rt. 1, Knifley; Mrs. Opal (Rondal) Spires, Rt. 1, Knifley; and Clelland Ferguson, Campbellsville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Clarence Goode, Rt. 3, Columbia, and Richard Goode, Mannsfield, Ill; three sisters, Mrs. Jerry Chelf, Rt. 1, Knifley; Mrs. E. L. Harden, Liberty and Mrs. L. E. Hump!
