Cody died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 14.

The son of Shawn and Dawn (Wardle) Berg, Cody was born on July 9, 1993, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cody attended school in Inola through the 7th grade and then transferred to Catoosa schools for the 8th and 9th grade to pursue his dreams of playing high school soccer. Cody loved playing soccer, wrestling, skateboarding, snowboarding and anything that had to do with snow and his papa Dan and was looking forward to skydiving with papa Dan. Cody was devoted to reading, understanding and living the word of God. In his pastime at home he enjoyed building rockets from scratch with his friends. Cody was always the daredevil that tried out the contraptions he built with his friends. He also enjoyed playing with and training his dog, Jasmine. But his true love was his time spent with his family and especially his sisters, Jessica and Sydney.

Cody is preceded in death by great-grandparents: Will and Mary Berg, Kenneth Hayes, Yola and Howard Wardle, and Howard and Marion Schenck; and great uncles: Ronnie Hayes and Lee Wardle.

He is survived by his parents: Shawn and Dawn Berg of the home; sisters: Jessica and Sydney of the home; grandparents: Ron and Gloria Berg of Inola, and Dan and Darlene Wardle of Sparks, Nevada; and great-grandmother, Margaret Hayes of Braggs.

Cody's dream was to build a rocket to soar around the stars. Soar Cody, Soar.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Berg Memorial Fund at RCB Bank.
