"GALIEN, Jan. 5 [1953]—Mrs. Edna L. Kimble died at 3 a.m., very unexpectedly, yesterday [4 Jan 1953] in Tampa, Fla., where she and her husband were vacationing. She was born Sept. 28, 1876 in Dayton, Mich., the daughter of Elisha and Lovicy Allen. June 8, 1900 she married Tone Kimble. They moved to Galien a number of years ago from Hampshire, Ill. Mrs. Kimble was a member of the Methodist Church, the WSCS and the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bartlow of Springfield, Mo., and four grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Cora Edwards of Downey, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Hamilton of Galien; two brothers, Levi Allen of Niles and David Allen of Galien. The body will arrive in Niles tomorrow noon and be taken to the Kenney-Connelly Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Churst, with Rev. David Crawford, pastor, officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Carl Renbarger at the organ. Casket bearers will be nephews. Buriel will be in the Galien Cemetery." (SOURCE: Benton Harbor (Mich.)
