Ruth A. Webb, 75, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 10:11 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Webb was born December 28, 1944, in Columbus, Indiana, the youngest of 14 children born to Alex and Mary Katherine Simmons Bush.
Her parents died when Ruth was 10 years old, she was then raised by Milford and Elsie Anderson.
On September 1, 1978, Ruth married Robert A. Webb; he survives.
A homemaker, Mrs. Webb was a clerk at the cable company in Columbus for many years and she later worked at JCPenney. She was a faithful member of The Sanctuary where she taught in the Kid's World for many years. She was a Book Buddy at Clifty Creek Elementary School and she enjoyed crocheting.
Her life will be cherished by her husband of 42 years, Robert; children, Carla (Gary) Richards of Okeechobee, Florida, Brigitte (Doug) Huddleston of Elizabethtown, Robby (Teresa) Webb of Elizabethtown, Lisa (Allen) Anderson of Deputy and Lori Webb of Columbus; brothers, Tom Bush of Melbourne, Florida and Harry Bush of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Mary Katherine Bush; her foster parents, Milford and Elsie Anderson; son, Tim Brooks; and eleven siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at The Sanctuary, 3939 Central Avenue, Columbus, Indiana 47203; the Reverends Dan Mitchell and Matthew Johnson will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
The committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Section 64 at Garland Brook Cemetery.
