Steven W. Jones, of Independence, MO, passed away far too soon on Tuesday July 20, 2021, at the age of 60. A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday, July 26th with a funeral service following at 11:00am, both at Courageous Life Church; 17310 E. US Hwy 40, Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Warsaw, MO.

Steven was born April 19, 1961 in Kansas City, MO to George and Helen (Beyer) Jones. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1979. Steven enjoyed Boy Scouts, grilling and smoking meat, riding bicycles, vacations with family, and most of all, fishing at Truman Lake and "secret spots". He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Randall and Robert.

He is survived by his beloved wife Cindy; his children, Jessica, Jake and Carter; siblings, Vera (Ted) Saxton, Jeffrey Jones, Alice Jones and Patrick Jones; his aunts, Beth Hudgens and Goldie Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his honor to Courageous Life Church.
