After graduating high school, he joined the USAF, serving in Vietnam, Turkey and several other bases before retiring in Alaska in 1990 after 22 years. Following, he worked for 6 years in Alaska as an EMT and Security Officer on the North Slope. In 1996, he moved back to Warrensburg, Missouri with his wife and son. He was employed with Billy Goat Industries for several years before retiring for a second time. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be truly missed by his wife, son and all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Candy Reichert of Warrensburg, Missouri; son: Heath W. Reichert (Pam) of Warrensburg, Missouri; three grandkids; five great grandkids; brother-in-law: Bob Wilkinson; sister-in-law: Lynda Wilinson, and nieces.
There will be no services scheduled. Interment will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
