Veteran U.S. Navy. Francis was in an automobile accident, treated and released from a local hospital with supposedly only minor injuries. However, he was much more seriously injured than anyone realized. A few days later he wandered off into the desert and lost consciousness and died. Body was recovered 10 August 1965 by an electric company lineman.
