Mrs. Hazel Lucille Whisenant, 96, of Charlotte, NC, passed away the 15th of July, 2021 at Autumn Care Nursing Center in Drexel, NC. She was born on the 24th of May, 1925 in Burke Co., NC, to the late Robert Little Bandy and Mary Martha Branch Bandy.
Mrs. Whisenant is survived by her daughter, Shirley Swing and her husband, Thomas of Concord, NC; a son-in-law, Paul Doan of Indian Trail, NC; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, but a special niece, Brenda Cane, who cared for her over the last several years, of Morganton, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis T. Whisenant; her daughter, Judy W. Doan and her son, Brian Whisenant; two sisters: Elsie Keaton and Viola Rocket; two brothers: Martin Edward Bandy and Roy William Bandy.
The Family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, the 24th of July, 2021 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. The Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
