Remarks: Mrs. Elizabeth Lee Kerr came to Colombia in 1900. It is believed that her few personal effects are of no commercial value. She has been supported by donations of the American and British residents for several years.

And from the Epilogue to the Biography of Jasper Newton Matheny:
"When she [Elizabeth] wrote her memoirs in 1931, she was living in Cartagena, Colombia. She was in her late seventies when she went on a trip into the jungle for specimens and returned home with a fatal fever. Presumably she is buried there in Cartagena."
