Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021, in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Lloyd Wayne Thompson, 33, who passed away on July 14, 2021. Rob Miller, Assistant Pastor of Family Life Church will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Thompson, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the former Charlotte Jones and Roy W. Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Landon and Ellie; fiancé, Brooke, and his family.
Lloyd was a loving son, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, and exploring. Especially being out at the camp on Pecan Island. Lloyd was a good cook and he especially loved grilling for his friends and family. He will be dearly missed, not only by all of his family and friends but by all of the lives he has touched over the years.
He is survived by his fiancé, Brooke Fontenot; son, Landon Thompson; daughter, Ellie Thompson; mother, Charlotte J. Thompson, and step-father, Jude Menard; father, Roy Wayne Thompson; paternal grandmother, Jeannie Thompson; maternal grandfather, Frank Jones; sisters, Tasha Thompson and Ashley Thompson; brother, Brandon Thompson (Samantha); and nephews, Truett Thompson and Ryan Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia A. Jones; and paternal grandfathers, Lester Menard and Virgil Thompson.
