Mr. Charles Bays, age 75 of Barbourville was born in Bell County, KY on September 15, 1946 to the late Lloyd and Nora Davis Bays and departed this life on July 15, 2021 at home in the arms of his family.
He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed working in his Greenhouse and caring for the flowers, cooking, gardening, and time with family and friends.
His parents: Lloyd and Nora Bays preceded him in death.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of over 23 years: Fredia Bays of Barbourville; 3 step-daughters that he cherished and considered his own: Paula Kelly and husband Brian of Artemus, Jamie Wilson and husband Travis of Flat Lick, and Cindy Wegmer and husband Steve of Texas; 7 grandchildren: Neysa Mills, James Wilson, Keysha Kelly, Joshua Bernier, Hunter Wilson, Cortney Bernier, and Alexis Wilson; a great granddaughter: Kinsley Mills; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Bays will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Gray and Brother James Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery with Aaron Alford, Steve Miller, Larry Carl, Michael Lawson, Virgil Moore, and Terry King serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
