Peggy Blazek Brinkman, age 65, of Austin, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 5, 1940 in Caldwell, Texas to Louis and Aiken Blazek.

Peggy retired from the Texas State Senate. She loved her family with all her heart and considered family to be the most important part of life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Aileen Blazek. Peggy is survived by her daughters, Dawn Roberson and husband, Larry of Elgin, and Dara Stone and husband, Harold of Austin; grandsons, Tyler and Tanner Stone and Travis Roberson; step-grandchildren, Brad and Taylor Roberson; sister,' Patsy Langham and husband, Jamie of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Cook Walden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2005 in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell, Texas.

Honoring Peggy as pallbearers will be Jamie Langham, Larry Roberson, Harold Stone, Jr., David McMahan, Frank Murray Blazek, John Nathan Green, Barney Homeyer and Johnie Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler arid Tanner Stone, Brad, Taylor and Travis Roberson, Trevor McMahan, and Trenton Sholders.

A special thanks to the staff of Southwest Regional Cancer Center, especially Dr.- Thomas Tucker and his assistant, Jessica, and Hospice Austin for their compassionate and loving care of mom, your kindness and caring will always be remembered and appreciated.
