She lived with her parents in Monroe township where she was married February 28, 1902 to Peter Lauritsen. They farmed for many years and retired to live in Harlan about twenty years ago. Mr Lauritsen died several years ago and Mrs Lauritsen went to live at the Memorial home about four years ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Minnie (S.A.) Dickerson of Marshalltown and three sisters, Mrs Martha Mikkelsen and Mrs Barry Christenson of Harlan and Mrs Lena Treu of Crete, Nebraska and two grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, two children, Wilbur and Leona, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at Pauley's funeral home July 16 with the Rev. C.M. Vidabeck of Atlantic, former pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church of Harlan, in charge. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery.
