J.C. DAVIS
Death at 4:10 p.m. July 5 claimed J.C. Davis, farmer, at his home on Pine Creek. He had been ill a long time. He was 64 years, eight months and 18 days of age.
J.C. Davis was reared in Lewis County, Kentucky, and spent many years in Cabin Creek, W.Va., section. He had lived on Pond Creek several years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Georgia Davis; a daughter, Mrs. Samuel King of Cincinnati, O.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mable Rookstoole, Hinton, W.Va., Mrs. Gertrude Cunningham, Cincinnati, Mrs. Ina Cole, Charleston, W.Va; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at his home Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of McCurdy.
