I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave. Volunteer's Profile (49347870).

He fought in the Civil War. Was injured. Died about age 27. I always wondered if Wilkins and Rhoda were his grandparents. Rhoda would have been 46 when he was born. There is also a strong possibility that Eliza is his mother. She would have been 19 when he was born. She is listed as 'insane' on the 1860 census. George is listed as a child for Wilkins and Rhoda on several census.

Obituary-George Taylor of Kendrick township, died yesterday (June 6, 1872) of consumption, aged about 27 years. The deceased leaves a wife and two children to mourn as they only can for his loss. Mr. Taylor served in the army (Civil War) for 4 years, and there was so wrecked in health as to induce the disease that ended his career. Another comrade has followed those "Where silent tents are spread on fame's eternal camping ground." Peace and the rest of a better hereafter be his!
