Patricia "Pat" Cornett, 79, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday.
She was born in Echo, Utah, to George and Lenora Elizabeth (Bromley) Toone.
Pat was an avid outdoors-woman; she loved to hunt and fish. She also was an excellent cook and loved to cook for family and friends. She had recently taken up oil painting and painted beautiful landscapes. She was self-employed for most of her life; there was no challenge too big for her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her little dog, Katie.
She was a loving mother to six children, including daughters Mary Ann and husband Sid Gulley of Sweet Home, Barbara Johnson of John Day, Mitzie and husband "Junior" Herbert Wilson of Silverton, and Georgia and husband George Hoerauf of Salem; sons Paul and wife Laura Anderson of Silverton, and Carl Anderson of Corvallis; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
At Pat's request, there will be no services. There will be a private interment at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
Donations in Pat's name can be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice or SafeHaven Humane Society.
