PRINCETON- Edgar Hampton Quick, 79, of 354 Quail Valley in
Princeton died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born Dec. 1, 1921 in Staunton, Va., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Alma VanLear Quick. He was a retired accountant with Arch Coal Company in Clarleston. He was a former resident of Bramwell. He was an active member of the Princeton Presbyterian Church in Princeton where he served as a deacon and assisted with accounting. He was a member of Bailey Masonic Lodge #137. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. His family and friends will sadly miss him.
Two sisters, Nathalee Cash and Maxine Wender preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Clarice Mills Quick of Princeton; two daughters, Barbara Erdelyi and husband, Ben of Claytor Lake, Va., and Patricia Small and husband, Walter of Cary, N.C.; one son, Steven B. Quick and wife, Beverly of Athens; four grandchildren, Michael Clark of Princeton, Kimberly Lester and husband, Troy of Wirtz, Va., Heather and Chase Wiltshire of Cary; three great grandchildren, Shane and Jeremy Lester of Wirtz, and Tyler Clark of Bluefield; and one sister, Gertrude Beavers of Waldorf, Md.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the Princeton Presbyterian Church in Princeton with the Rev. Edwin Pettus officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Pallbearers will be A. Herbert McClaugherty, Everett Rast, Rick Lowry, Stanley Belcher, Al Sanderval, Ed Lowe, Richard Work, and John Perry.
Friends may call at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral
Home in Princeton from 6 8 p.m. today.
